Sunday 7th Jan

PAIHIA DIVE – Kids Fishing Competition

9.30am – 12pm, Paihia Wharf

Register at PAIHIA DIVE SHOP, Williams Rd from 9.30am. Fishing will start at 10.30am until 11.30am. Bring a hand line or rod, we will supply the bait.

Kids – don’t forget to bring an Adult with you! Prize giving will follow straight after the competition on Horotutu Park

 

THE BIGGEST LITTLE CIRCUS – Workshop

4.00pm, on the Village Green

Learn some circus tricks from the professionals! The start of a career as a circus performer. All ages welcome! You need to bring your own juggling balls – tennis balls are great!

PAIHIA MOUNTAIN BIKE RENTALS & SHUTTLES –

Mountain Bike Skills

9.30am, Skills sets on the Paihia School Pump Track

Learn some new and basic mountain biking skills with Jonny from Paihia Mountain Bike Rentals & Shuttles. Jonny will show you how to do basic jumps, riding the tops of jumps, pumping your bike while riding, turning corners and plenty more basic skills to help you when you are riding your mountain bike. Bring your own bike and helmet or there are some supplied.

 

FUN FOOTY – Skills with Football coach, Ringa Dalton

1.00pm, Paihia School fields.

Come along and learn some basic football skills with local Football Coach, Ringa Dalton. He will teach you some basic footwork and ball skills which will help improve your football skills. Followed by a game of football.

BAY BEACH HIRE – Fun Games on the Green

10am, Paihia Village Green

Fun classic old fashioned games. Sack races, 3 legged races, sprinting races, relay races, egg and spoon races and many more finishing off with Merva’s finale event – The Limbo! All about participation!

 

ANNE OF CRAICOR – Cardboard Creations

1pm, Paihia Memorial Hall, Williams Rd

Get Ready To Build & Create! Let your imagination run wild and build whatever your heart desires! Rockets, spaceships, cars, boats, sky-scrapers – the choice is yours! You will be supplied with tape and decorative materials along with lots and lots of cardboard!

 

Wed 10th Jan

BAY BEACH HIRE – Kids Duathlon

9.00am, Paihia beach, (Kings Rd end).

Meet at the Bay Beach Hire Kayak Shed. 9am registration, 9:30am safety brief and start – The event is running and kayaking. Entrants must be 8 years and above. This is a fun event and all about having a go!

NORTHLAND AGE – Monster Mural painting and selfies!

1pm, Paihia School

Mural painting, self-portraits and lots of fun with paint! Meet on the field at Paihia School. All materials are supplied. Wear some old clothes. Let’s get creative together!

PAIHIA MOUNTAIN BIKE RENTALS & SHUTTLES – Ride the

Waitangi Mountain Bike Park! New this year!

10.00am

Now to test out your mountain biking skills from Monday! Come along for a bike ride with Paihia Mountain Bike Rentals & Shuttles in the world class Waitangi Mountain Bike Park and ride the easy Grade 2 Mokopuna & Holland Days tracks. You need to bring your own bike and helmet which will be subject to a bike check prior to

going on the trails. An adult must bring the children, sign consent forms and collect the children after. Meet at Waitangi Mountain Bike Park Entrance, Bayley Rd, which is just past Waitangi Golf Course.

 

WALKING DIGITAL PHOTO SAFARI

1pm, Horotutu Park

Follow some clues, and capture the answers on your digital device. Kids, bring a digital device and an adult with you.

10am, Meet behind the Pharmacy on the Village Green.

Chalk art for all ages, with lots of handy tips from our judge – the world – famous photographer Frank Habicht!

 

FLYING KIWI PARASAIL Build A Boat,

supported by Harcourt’s Bay of Islands

2pm, Paihia Beach, Kings Rd End

Build your own corflute boat – we will provide the materials and you and your team need to make it. You will be surprised at how well they float!

BAY OF ISLANDS ROTARY CLUB – Beach Dig and Fun Day out!

From 10am, Paihia Beach (Kings Rd end)

Fun, games and digging! The famous Rotary Club Beach Dig starts at 10.30am, and is a fun event for kids aged 4 to 10 years of age! Heaps of fantastic prizes.

GIANT SANDCASTLE COMPETITION – Paihia Beach. Judging

4pm, Paihia Beach (Kings Rd end) Prize giving 4:30pm.

All ages! Adults, kids, families, mates! Anything goes! Use your hands or a bucket, a shell or a shovel. You can start building

anytime you want! Awesome prizes and giveaways!
