In 2022 Matariki will be officially recognised as a public holiday on Friday 24 June.
Following our successful inaugural celebrations in 2021, the Bay of Islands will again host our Matariki Festival of Culture, Food and Arts between Friday 17 June and Sunday 3 July.

Story-telling, cultural experiences, Matariki inspired feasts, vineyard tours, music, family fun and some of the best star-gazing opportunities in the land.
