Along with mouthwatering food, award winning vineyards, beer and cider – we have lots of fun going on around the place – there are real kiwi competitions such as “Kina Sucking”, “Oyster Shucking and Eating” and of course “Pie Eating!” – we are in Pai-hia after all!!

There is a kids area – it’s fun! You have a bouncy castle, magican and face painter.

The Bay of Islands is a top holiday destination that has retained it’s small friendly feel – there is plenty to do around the town whether it be to take a boat trip to see the dolphins, have a swim, kayak, visit Waitangi or head into the bush. Or you can just sit in one of the many cafes and watch the world go by!  The festival is centre of town with great shopping, bars and cafes.  This is ‘it’ an event not to be missed!

Please note the festival is on the 7th October not Labour weekend .

Our Northland vineyards will be at the festival – many of these wines are award winning.  We also have a selection of Macs cider and beer, plus a range of craft beer.  For those who want something non-alcoholic we have plenty on offer – Fresh smoothies and juice, coffee, fizzies and mocktails made with Red Bulls new Kiwi Apple drink.  And of course plenty of free water!

Our foodies have a delicious selection – normally along these lines…fresh oysters, whitebait fritters, fish sliders, beef sliders, orbs of joy donuts, green lipped mussels, Vietnamese pulled pork burger, Free range chicken satay, Steamed Pork Buns with pork belly, cucumber kimchi, chilli & hoisin, Mexican dishes, Mediterranean food, Fish curry, German Bratwurst and Austrian Cheesekrainer sausages,  French Crepes , Churros, ice cream and more!

We have a bus running from Kerikeri to Paihia for the ‘it’ Bay of Islands Festival.
Departing at 10.30 am from Kerikeri outside Subway. Returns from Paihia to Kerikeri at 6.15pm after the festival. It is $10 return pp. You need to book the bus.

Please note: You cannot bring food, alcohol or any other drinks into the festival. No animals allowed.

Terms & Conditions of Entry:
Event will go ahead rain or shine. Alcohol sales will cease half an hour before the end of day. No food or beverages are allowed to be taken on site. Bags will be searched on entry. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are not permitted on site. No refunds.
