Waitangi Treaty Grounds
New Zealand’s premier historical and cultural site where our nation’s founding document, the “Treaty of Waitangi”, was signed. A “must see” attraction when visiting the Far North.
The WAITANGI TREATY GROUNDS is New Zealand’s most historic site and is where the nation’s founding document was signed between Maori chiefs and the British Crown.
Our immaculate grounds feature abundant native bird life, heritage gardens, bush tracks and stunning sea views of the Bay of Islands.
This unique and distinctive location is of iconic historical and cultural significance and is a primary attraction when visiting Northland.
We offer:
* Guided tours with our knowledgeable, passionate local guides. Waitangi Treaty Grounds are steeped in history and open to much interpretation, so this option is highly recommended.
* A 30-minute Maori cultural performance by our resident dance troupe.
Additional options include: combination packages, guided bush walks, Maori welcomes, flax weaving, superb outdoor dining options, and educational opportunities. Our enthusiastic staff will create a memorable visit for your clients at Waitangi.
