SUMMARY:The Biggest Littlest Circus
DESCRIPTION:The circus is part of the Paihia Summer Festival of events schedule.\n\nBiggest Littlest Circus - 2 pm and 7 pm performances on each day listed (50 minute shows).\n\nAn action packed\, high energy explosion of circus street theatre! Including everything from high skilled juggling and aerial acrobatics to a human changing room. You can't miss their leopard print leotards\, and you don't want to miss their finale! Fresh from a tour across Canada\, this is a show with a whole lot of laughs\, kiwi charm and Lycra.\n\nImogen Stone\, Zane Jarvie and Degge Jarvie were born and bred in Wellington\, New Zealand - these three kiwis have created a vibrant and colourful show for the whole family. They have been performing circus since childhood and have now travelled nationally and internationally.\n\nDream Garden - 9pm performances on each day (30 minute show).\n\nStep into our dream. This beautiful\, skillful and surreal performance combines aerial circus\, projection art and comedy. You can’t be sure what’s real and what’s dream\, so sit up the front\, get a good view and enjoy the show!\n\n‘Dream Garden’ - an aerial silk duet performed outdoors for all to enjoy. Combined\, Imogen Stone and Jackson Cordery have specialised in aerial silk for over 12 years. This show is inspired by their own dreams - dreams of being an astronaut\, a superhero\, of running away\, of flying and falling.\n\nPlease note - 7th January 4pm is a Circus Workshop not a show - free for all children and young adults to join is - this is part of the Summer Festival and will be held on the Paihia Village Green\n\nMakers of Entertainment provide an awesome circus in a small space and are perfect for the summer holidays in Paihia – appealing to the visitors as well as our local community this will be the 3rd time we have had the pleasure to have this circus in town.\n\nIt is a busking show. At the end\, we will pass the hat (or backpack as it happens to be) and ask for koha.\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Paihia New Years Eve Fireworks!
DESCRIPTION:On the strike of midnight an awesome display of pyrotechnics can be seen in the skies above Paihia\, Russell\, Opua\, Haruru and Waitangi - the fireworks are on a barge in the centre of the Bay and are an awesome way to celebrate the start of the New Year - either join one of the many restaurants or bars that have excellent viewing points or grab a picnic and a blanket and enjoy this fireworks spectacular from any of the beaches surrounding the inner Bay  - just remember this is a family friendly event - no alcohol to be drink in a public place in Paihia 24/7 all year round.\n\nThere is busking\, a free sausage sizzle and activities for children throughout the evening leading up to the midnight display\, including the "Biggest Littlest Circus". The fireworks and circus mark the start of the Paihia Summer Events schedule which also includes days of fun free events for families to enjoy. Fishing will start at 10.30am until 11.30am. Bring a hand line or rod\, we will supply the bait.\n\nKids – don’t forget to bring an Adult with you! Prize giving will follow straight after the competition on Horotutu Park\n\n \n\nTHE BIGGEST LITTLE CIRCUS - Workshop\n\n4.00pm\, on the Village Green\n\nLearn some circus tricks from the professionals! The start of a career as a circus performer. All ages welcome! Jonny will show you how to do basic jumps\, riding the tops of jumps\, pumping your bike while riding\, turning corners and plenty more basic skills to help you when you are riding your mountain bike.
