Offshore Powerboat Racing is NZ’s premium water sport the equivalent of the F1 series. The sight and sound of these amazing boats thundering across the water at speeds that never ceases to amaze and we want you to be part of the action. A liquid race track without brakes!!
The event will be filmed and the program will be shown on TV3 Gillette Motor Sport at a date to be confirmed. “On the 15th August 2010, 100,000 people tuned into TV3 to watch the NZ Offshore Racing replay – this rated higher than the V8 Supercars on TV1.

Every year jazz and blues musicians gather from all over New Zealand and overseas for the annual Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival.
Bay of Islands Walking Weekend is a new walking weekend to the calendar and is based out of Russell in the stunning Bay of Islands. Over two and half days there are 22 walks to choose from, all walks leave from Russell and for the more adventurous among us, take a trip on a boat out to some of our fabulous islands where some of the walks are based.

This is “it!!!” For the fourth year Paihia is holding the successful 'it' Bay of Islands Food and Wine Festival - "it" is the event not to be missed - Love it! Cook it! Drink it! Bite it! Sing it! A successful recipe of fantastic food, wine, entertainment and friendly locals all mixed up together in the Bay of Islands. The main act this year is a kiwi favourite that will get you all up and dancing! Details to be released soon.

The public toilets at the base of Maiki Hill had the reputation of being some of the worst public toilets in New Zealand.
But they have seen a remarkable transformation.
The Paihia Christmas Parade which is organized by Business Paihia once again had amazing floats in the theme ‘Rivers of the World’, we had the Queen on the Thames, Cleopatra on the Nile, The Zambezi, Taniwha’s and dolphins, and of course the Waitangi River.
