Russell Birdman Festival

Its wild, wacky and so much fun!! This is a 4 day event this year as we celebrate 10 years!
– Thursday 14th, you have Sally’s Cake Decorating and Cake Making Competition, Musical Chair madness with Sallys! Old Fashioned games and the Birdman Disco!
– Friday 15th there is Mural Painting, a Digital Safari with some hots tips from Stephen Western Photography, Night Food Market, The Drag Race, a night walk and darts comp!
– Saturday 16th – it’s all happening, The Russell Four Square Beach Dig, The Bay ITM and Wattyl Corflute Boat Building – for adults – build all morning for racing at 1pm!
The Russell Yacht Club Dingy Races, Waterfront Café Eggstravaganza, Bay Four Square Spaghetti eating Comp, The Duke of Marlborough Hotel Cook off, The Flying Kiwi Parasail Fancy Dress.
The Birdman Jump itself is at 2pm. We also have Captain Festus McBoyle and his motley crew entertaining us all day!
Sunday 17th
The Bay ITM and Wattyl Corflute Boat Building – for kids this time and the Swordfish Kids Fishing Competition off the Russell Wharf. Prizegiving at the Swordfish Club.

You can also enter “The Drag Race” if you are a bloke and want to dress in a frock, heels, accessorised with a handbag. Details on the website.
