Alongside is an exciting social space situated over the water in the stunning bay of islands. There is no place quite like it in Northland and we are proud to be different! Cellini’s Gelateria and Espresso bar offers a range of Rush Monro’s Ice cream and speciality ice cream products (ie. – banana splits, sundaes, etc.), Cellini’s brand Gelato, full range of coffee products, smoothies and frappes.
Cellini’s offers a large, high quality and delicious range of ice creams, ice cream based products and gelatos. Our ice cream range is made by Rush Monros, New Zealands oldest ice cream and is 100% natural while our gelatos, which are also made from natural products, are authentic Italian and are specific to Cellini’s. Complimentary to this we offer and provide a full range of espresso based items including our chilled espresso based drinks (frappes), smoothies and milkshakes made with the same 100% natural ice cream. Cellini’s can be found at two locations, in Paihia and one in Russell. Opened in 2011 Kebabulous is committed to providing excellent quality Kebabs with a Kiwi flavour. Owned and operated by Lucy and Gareth Doull, we endeavour to use locally sourced ingredients and suppliers where possible, helping support our local community and cutting food miles, so reducing our Carbon Footprint. We use bio-degradable packaging. Practically 99% of our packaging is Bio Degradable, even smoothie cups and straws and cutlery and we proudly have an Eco Star Bronze Award.
We have put our emphasis on healthy but tasty eating, and our menu caters for most dietary requirements with Gluten, Dairy, Egg, Soy, Nut Free options as well as low-carb meals available. We have fresh fruit juices and smoothies, real-fruit ice-creams, as well as instantly prepared salads and a great choice of sauces. As well as many other great options on our menu. We like to call it Turkish with a kiwi twist!

Open dailyfrom 9am to 4pm, the fully licensed Whare Waka Café offers a wide selection of cabinet and a la carte food. Choose from the cosy ambience indoors or the outdoor area surrounded by native bush, overlooking the world’s largest ceremonial war canoe and the beautiful Bay of Islands.
In summer (1 December – 31 March) Whare Waka Café also offers a Hāngi & Concert themed evening on Tuesday and Thursday.
